Start your tour visiting Lima Historical Center with panoramic views of the MALI (Lima Art Museum), the Italian Art Museum, the Rimac House and the Justice Palace. Walk by the Main Square of Lima and admire the colonial architecture of the city.
Visit San Martín Square, a unique park considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity. built-in 1921 in honor to Don José de San Martín, leader of the Independence of Peru. Stroll by Union Street as you see colonial churches, restaurants, craft stores and more. Learn the stories of the colonial time and the impact of migration that turned Lima into one of the most populated cities of Latin America (More than 10.5 million inhabitants).
Take the best out of your visit exploring the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Choco Museum, the Cathedral of Lima and the Archbishop Palace. See the authentic and baroque style of the Convent of San Francisco, a complex that offers a great visit of the cloisters, the libraries and the Catacombs, that were part of an old cemetery in the colonial era (Admission ticket NOT included). Spend some time around the Government Palace and try some desserts when visiting the Chabuca Granda´s park, from where we could see the San Cristobal hill and the most populated neighborhoods of the city.
Later, have some panoramic views of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial site built on adobes filled with cobblestones and mud. Stroll by El Malecon, a long set of parks and oceanfront walk in Miraflores. Get to know the Love Park, the favorite place for couples in Lima where you can feel a romantic atmosphere and tranquility overlooking the sea.
Later, discover the bohemian side of Barranco, visiting the Alameda Sáenz Peña with large colonial mansions. Cross the Bridge of Sighs (A wooden bridge built-in 1876), admire the art walls and beautiful parks of this neighborhood and see the authentic souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants that reflect the tradition and living history of Lima.
